Amboseli Sopa Lodge

Set on 200 acres of private land, and with a rustic charm all of its own, the lodge nestles on the foothills of Africa’s highest and most famous mountain – Mount Kilimanjaro. While the park conserves over six hundred breeding species of birds as well a host of rare and wonderful wildlife, this is also home to the Masai people, perhaps the world’s most renowned African tribe. Masai Mara Sopa Lodge

Located on the slopes of the Oloolaimutia Hills, the Masai Mara Sopa Lodge offers magnificent views across the eastern reaches of the fabled Masai Mara Game Reserve. Set in expansive and mature wooded gardens, the lodge has an ethnic design that incorporates traditional round buildings with thatched roofs for its guest rooms and public areas. Almost all of the most coveted games can be viewed in the Mara, including the “Big Five”, lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo. Each year the annual migration of game from the Serengeti into the Masai Mara is one of nature’s most awe-inspiring sights when many of the two million wildebeest and zebra in search of grazing and drinking water reach the Masai Mara and remain there until they make their long and arduous trek back “home”. Samburu Sopa Lodge

Located inside Samburu National Reserve in Northern Kenya, Samburu Sopa lodge is built atop high ground allowing panoramic views of the vastness of Samburu shrub land and the hills beyond. The lodge is built to reflect the architectural heritage of the local communities whose sons and daughters make up the majority of the workforce at the lodge. Fifteen cottages, each with two bedrooms are built in an arch formation on either side of the public areas to surround the waterhole but leaving a wide gap to allow the animals free movement to the water. The Samburu National Reserve forms a part of a far larger wildlife conservation area which incorporates the Buffalo Springs National Reserve to the south, and the Shaba National Reserve to the east between which the resident wildlife freely migrates Location: Samburu National Reserve. 350Km from Nairobi. Tarangire Sopa Lodge, Tanzania
