Savouring the Best of Pan-Asian Cuisine at H&S Restaurant, Nairobi Serena Hotel

Our recent dining experience at H&S Restaurant was an authentic journey through the vibrant and diverse flavours of Pan-Asian cuisine. Under the skilled guidance of Chef Polsak from Thailand, each dish was meticulously crafted to tantalize our taste buds and transport us to the streets of Asia.

Our culinary adventure began with Satay Gai, a succulent Thai-style chicken satay served with a creamy peanut sauce and refreshing cucumber dip. The tender and juicy chicken paired perfectly with the tangy and nutty sauce, creating a flavour explosion in every bite.

Next up was the Vegetable Por Pia, a delightful appetizer of crispy vegetable spring rolls wrapped in delicate rice paper and served with a sweet chilli peanut sauce. The balance of textures and flavours in this dish was truly exceptional.

The third course, Thai Mango Salad, came in two portions – one with a spicy kick and the other without. The refreshing blend of tangy mango, crispy vegetables, and zesty dressing was a perfect palate cleanser before moving on to the next course.

The Tom Khai Gai soup was simply divine. The velvety coconut soup, infused with lemongrass and served with skewered chicken, was a warm and comforting hug in a bowl.

Finally, the melt-in-your-mouth dishes included the Sweet & Sour Fish Fillets – Fried tilapia with bell peppers, tomatoes, and carrots with sweet and sour sauce and the Kae Yang Sot Ta-Krai, grilled lamb and vegetables with oyster sauce, was the perfect culmination of our culinary journey. The lamb was perfectly cooked and infused with a smoky flavour that was complemented by the aromatic and savoury oyster sauce.

Overall, our dining experience at H&S Restaurant was a true gastronomic delight. Each dish was a testament to the culinary prowess of Chef Polsak, Chef Alfred Kaindi Chef de Partie and the culinary team at Nairobi Serena Hotel. We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an authentic and memorable Pan-Asian dining experience.

We couldn’t forget about the dessert for our sweet tooth, and H&S Restaurant did not disappoint. We indulged in two of our favorite desserts – the Cold Passion Cheesecake with balsamic and cinnamon berry coulis, and the Silky Star Anise Custard Pudding with a tawny caramel sauce and seasonal berries. Each dessert was a masterpiece, with the perfect balance of sweetness and texture.
