Global MICE Summit 29th – 30th November 2018 Sharing Moments

The Global MICE Summit is a two-day conference bringing together participants from the Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions sub-sector of the Tourism Industry to provoke thoughts and ideas leveraging sustainable M.I.C.E practices to spur economic development.

#GMS2018 is currently being held at the InterContinental Hotel Nairobi from Thursday, 29th November 2018 and Friday, 30th November 2018.

The summit yesterday covered the Economic Impact Hub which saw a lot of views. Some of the speakers speaking yesterday include Prasant Saha, CEO CIMGlobal India who spoke on The Economic Importance of Meetings & Conferences for cities. Amongst all that, a panelist of great minds was well put together where there was a heated discussion in Enhancing Revenue and Yield Management from MICE. Judy Kepher Gona, CEO Sustainable Travel and Tourism Agenda, Kenya was keen in taking everyone through an interactive section where Escalating the Social Impacts Of M.I.C.E was tackled

The summit seeks to bring together stakeholders in the MICE industry such as event managers, Destination Management Companies (DMCs), Professional Conference Organisers (PCOs), and Universities, government institutions in the tourism sector, relevant regulators and associations among others. There will be a concurrent Global MICE Expo where both global and local brands will showcase their innovative and sustainable MICE solutions.
